Report Change or Closure

Notice for Exempt Entities

Schools, businesses, training providers, or organizations that are exempt only have to report critical changes to the department. Critical changes include a change in name, location, school contact information, or operation changes that could impact the providers' category of exemption. These changes should be reported to the department immediately.

Report a Change

Once certified, proprietary schools must report any substantive and non-substantive changes to the Office of Postsecondary Policy. Basic changes, such as a phone number or mailing address update, can be reported to PropCompliance@dhewd.mo.gov

Non-Substantive changes have little to no impact on the nature of the program. These changes can be reported at no cost by submitting a Non-Substantive Change Application. Examples include:

  • Program Name
  • CIP Code
  • Tuition & Fees
  • Books & Supplies
  • Inactive Program (ex. program discontinuation)

Substantive changes could impact the nature of the program. These changes must be reported through EDvera and often require a fee. Examples include:

  • Change of Location, Name, or Ownership
  • Program Revisions (curriculum or teaching method)
