Feb. 23 Virtual Job Fair to feature State of Missouri government job openings

The Missouri Department of Higher Education & Workforce Development will host its next Return Strong Virtual Job Fair on Tuesday, Feb. 23, in conjunction with the Office of Administration and MoCareers. Tuesday’s fair will feature more than 100 open positions across state government.

The Return Strong Virtual Job Fairs are part of the state’s efforts to help Missourians skill up and get back to work following the economic downturn caused by layoffs from the COVID-19 pandemic.

“The State of Missouri has a tremendous amount of career opportunities for invaluable positions located throughout the state,” said Zora Mulligan, commissioner of higher education. “This partnership with the Office of Administration is a great way to connect job seekers with meaningful career opportunities, while also helping to fill vacant positions across the state.”

Job seekers statewide will be able to search job listings, meet with hiring organizations, receive tips for resume writing and job interviews, and learn more about Missouri Job Center services and training opportunities.

“This past year has been hard for so many of us, but I want to thank the Department of Higher Education & Workforce Development for hosting the virtual job fair and for creating opportunities to help get Missourians back to work,” said Commissioner Sarah Steelman. “There are positions to be filled throughout the state of Missouri, so I encourage all those interested in serving the public and having a great career opportunity to visit our upcoming job fairs.”

More than 480 job seekers are already registered for Tuesday’s fair.

In total, 10 virtual job fairs were scheduled for Spring 2021, with several still upcoming. Some fairs will target job seekers and employers from specific industries. Fairs will take place on Tuesdays from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. on the following dates:
