Return Strong Toolkit available to promote training opportunities

The Missouri Department of Higher Education & Workforce Development has created a toolkit for partner organizations to help displaced workers connect with services to skill up and get back to work. The toolkit includes social media graphics and posts, PSAs, talking points, and other resources aimed at reaching workers unemployed due to COVID-19 as they seek employment and training.

Missouri Job Centers, Local Workforce Development Boards, and other partner agencies can utilize the tools to reach people all across the state. The toolkit is part of the department’s Return Strong initiative to connect displaced workers with short-term training programs and opportunities to enter the workforce stronger than when they were laid off or furloughed.

“Our goal is to get important information about resources, including free training vouchers for qualified Missourians, and other services out to displaced workers as soon as possible,” said Mardy Leathers, director of Workforce Development. “Job Centers and Workforce Development Boards know the areas they serve well, and are the groups best suited to distribute this information effectively.”

The toolkit can be accessed at thesocialpresskit.com/mdhewd#returnstrong and more information about the Return Strong Campaign is available at jobs.mo.gov/return-strong.
