We are excited to invite you to join us at the 2026 annual Apprenticeship Missouri Summit. This year’s theme is “Building Missouri’s Workforce: Strengthening Apprenticeship Excellence.” The Summit will take place on Tuesday, April 28, at the State Fair Community College campus and will feature engaging presentations focused on developing or improving a program’s mentorship plan, data-informed decision-making, and an engaging panel presentation on how Artificial Intelligence is shaping registered apprenticeship programs throughout the state.
LEGACY AWARD
Help us celebrate leaders in Missouri’s apprenticeship expansion efforts by submitting a nomination for the 2026 Dr. John Gaal Legacy Award. The Dr. John Gaal Legacy Award was established by the Office of Apprenticeship & Work-Based Learning in 2021 and honors its namesake, Dr. John Gaal, for trailblazing and leading apprenticeships with more than 40 years of service.
The Dr. John Gaal Legacy Award recognizes an individual or organization dedicated to supporting the modernization and expansion of registered apprenticeship programs in the State of Missouri. Nominees must have the following criteria for consideration:
- At least 10 years of experience in supporting the modernization and expansion of registered apprenticeships in Missouri
- Championed the cause to increase awareness about the value of pre-apprenticeship and registered apprenticeship programs
- Influenced local, state, and national public policy to increase access, equity, and inclusivity among apprentices
Nominations will be accepted through Friday, March 13, 2026. The recipient will be presented their award at the annual Apprenticeship Missouri Summit on Tuesday, April 28 around 2 p.m. All day attendance at the Summit is not required; however, presence to receive award is preferred.
