The studentaid.gov account is a username and password required in order to complete the FAFSA online, and access other federal aid account information. Students planning to attend college and at least one of their parents, if they are a dependent student, will need an studentaid.gov account. Although creating an account is not difficult, it can take some time to finish the verification and be able to log in using the new credentials. It would be wise for students (and parents of dependent students) to create their studentaid.gov account prior to attending a FAFSA Frenzy event.
Create an account to get started.
Students will need:
- First and last name (must match exactly what is on your SSN card)
- Date of birth
- Social Security number
- Email address (email address cannot be shared or used for multiple studentaid.gov accounts)
- Physical address
- Mobile phone number
NOTE: Session will time out if the user is not active for 5 minutes. Gather all information before starting his process.
