Decision Day celebrates seniors’ postsecondary plans to enroll in college, enter the military or go straight into the workforce and helps kick-start a plan for seniors who have not yet decided. The program encourages seniors to finalize and follow through on their plans for the future and helps build interest in college among younger students. High schools host Decision Day activities and events on or near May 1, the date by which most seniors must notify a college of their plans to enroll.
Host a Decision Day event
Register now to host a Decision Day event at your school. Decision Day is generally offered during late April and May each spring. Please register your event at least three weeks in advance to ensure it is added to our website, and to allow enough time for materials and promotional items to be shipped.
The Site Coordinator Resource Manual is now available to help you host a successful event. The manual covers all three Journey to College programs and contains student worksheets, ideas for activities, fillable templates, printable fliers, tips for organizing and promoting your activities, and other materials.
You may direct any questions or concerns to journeytocollege@dhewd.mo.gov.
