School Choice and College Fit
With so many choices of schools and programs, finding the right college or other postsecondary institution may be challenging for students. Characteristics students should consider include:
- Location
- Majors and programs
- Services for first-generation students
- Size
- Total cost and net price
Missouri public colleges and universities have a range of costs. MDHE collects and publishes comprehensive tuition and fee schedules annually from Missouri public institutions.
Help students plan for and apply to college.
Consider hosting Apply Missouri programs and activities during the fall semester. Use the Apply Missouri resources to help students plan for college. Direct students to Journey to College - Apply Missouri for more resources and encourage them to compare schools using the College Fit Worksheet and College Cost Comparision Worksheets found on that webpage.
Missouri's Residency Requirements
The Code of State Regulations (CSR) sets the standards for determining the residency status of students, including the determination of student fee charges and student eligibility for financial aid administered by the Coordinating Board for Higher Education.
